This year started with heavy plaster on my hands.

I couldn't hide my excitement as soon as the rolls entered the water and started the reaction. First it was time for a finger spica on my non-dominant arm, which got bent in a cobra-like anatomical shape. The plan was to spend the day and possibly the night in this quite restrictive cast.

What I didn't know (and couldn't infer even with the extra supplies on the table) was that my boyfriend had also a short arm finger spica cast on my right arm. In that moment my heart started racing with all the possible scenarios that were in store for that day and at the end of the application my arms were as restricted as they had been for a while.
