Looking for casters in north east USA

[ Reply to this post] Looking to coorespond with body casting entheuseist in north east USA. I live in southern New England. Through internet diolog with others, maybe sensible group casting sessions can occur. I wear a TLSO shell brace part time and was in a full medical body cast in the mid 70's. If this is of any interest please respond. Much to talk about.

[ Reply to this post] Nope :) You can try ace bandages and splints and braces and stuff, but nothing matches up to a real cast. It's not that expensive to do a weekend cast though, you can skimp on the materials since it's okay if it breaks down easily. AC

[ Reply to this post] I am debating applying a long leg cast on my husband when I finally get the guts to tell him my secret "fetish" (?) about cats - ha. However, my concern is getting the cast off afterwards... what's the best, safest way, without spending hundreds on a real cast-removal saw?

[ Reply to this post] Soo... any chance there's someone that'd be interested in applying a cast/being casted in New England? Looking to experience this for the first time, and thought it'd be nice to share with someone else... would prefer a female (22 male here...) but I figure the chance of a fellow caster being in my area, and also being female, and also be willing to meet with a complete stranger is pretty slim ^.- Was thinking some time around mid-august for this, in any event. Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont would be the ideal places, but I'd say anywhere from New York state -> east would be fine too :P

[ Reply to this post] Not your ideal canidate but looking to form a body casting group for full body casting. This will take a lot of diolog and sensiblle planning with many like minded people. A group setting in a secure environment is of great interest to me. I live in southern N.E. In the mid 70s I was in a knees to shoulders body cast for 3 months, then a torso cast for another 3 months. I currently use a TLSO shell brace on a physical therapy basis. Check out yahoo groups, one does full body casting. I am currently corresponding with an extreme full body caster who head a yahoo group.
